SNOOP DOG'S FIRST SINGLE DROP AS SNOOP LION...LOL
It's no longer news that Snoop doggy Dog turned Snoop Dog is not Snoop Lion. as reported in March, Snoop's 12th studio album sees the 40-year-old hip-hop star trading guns and blunts for dreads and blunts. Snoop will sing his way through most of Reincarnated, on Vice Records.
"Sendin the positive vibes all around!!! jahh!!! rastafari!!!" the newly christened Snoop Lion declared on Twitter. With that Rastafarian tweet came a link to La La La, his new single, along with a lo-fi video. The song is completely, unabashedly reggae, with loping bass line and cooed chorus, and guest vocals by Jovi Rockwell. According to his SoundCloud page, Snoop Lion is based in Kingston, Jamaica. Snoop's last album, 2011's Doggumentary, featured Gorillaz, R Kelly, Willie Nelson and Kanye West. It debuted at No 44 in the UK.

Ngozi Nwosu is dying. She has lost it all; weight, strength and vigour but not her talent and deep sense of humour which she displayed during the over one and a half hours we spent together recently. Her emotions ranged from profound despair to occasional outbursts of laughter at her own jokes.
When i got a call from the organisers of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to come play in the special Celebrity Edition last week, i did not know it was the cause of our Dear Ngozi i will be playing for until I got there. The Director revealed this to me few minutes before recording began as Ngozi sauntered in.
One of the first signs that things were no longer right with Ngozi was the fact that we had to delay recording because while everybody else was virtually fanning themselves due to the studio lights, Ngozi was shivering from cold so much that the producers had to get her cardigans. I was flustered.

'MY JIHAD' ADS CAMPAIGN IN CHICAGO
A new ad campaign debuted this week in Chicago that's sure to turn some heads. On Monday, 25 CTA buses began sporting ads from "My Jihad," a new educational campaign introduced by the Council on American-Islamic Relations' Chicago chapter (CAIR-Chicago).
Founded by Ahmed Rehab, CAIR-Chicago executive director, the campaign was conceived as a response to the anti-Islam ad campaign created by conservative blogger Pamela Geller, who ran a series of controversial "Defeat Jihad" ads on city buses last month. The goal of the campaign, Rehab explained, is "reclaiming Jihad from the Muslim and anti-Muslim extremists who ironically, but not surprisingly, see eye to eye on Jihad," according to a CAIR statement.
The literal meaning of Jihad, according to the BBC, is "struggle or effort" -- not simply a "holy war" waged on behalf of Islam. It is a central doctrine of the Islamic faith.
In addition to the public ads, the campaign urges supporters to use the #MyJihad hash tag to share insight into their own personal struggles or efforts. Muslims and non-Muslims alike have already contributed to the campaign."It is also about pushing for an intelligent and informed understanding of Islam and its concepts and practices in the media, the educational circles, and the public," Rehab continued. "Most of all, this campaign is about giving voice to our views, our practices, and simply put, our reality, a reality that is too big to be left out of the conversation.”
As Gellar did with her ads, Rehab hopes that the "MyJihad" ads will also appear in cities including New York, San Francisco, Houston, Seattle and Washington, D.C. in the future.

After a 10-man kidnap gang seized Professor Mabel Kamene Titi Okonjo, mother of the Minister of Finance, Dr. (Mrs.) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, at Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta State, the 82-year-old retired professor of sociology, University of Nigeria, UNN, Nsukka, was released. That was yesterday friday morning, by her kidnappers in Benin City, Edo State, after collecting between N10 to N15 million ransom. A young boy, suspected to have been used by the kidnappers as a “sacrificial lamb” to lead the old woman to safety after the ransom was delivered to them, was been arrested. The security agents said this is to help in their investigations on the identity of the hostage takers.
