The death as reported of Nollywood actor, Enebeli Elebuwa who passed away yesterday, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 dampened the spirits of fans and friends alike.

Confirming the news, the PRO of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Frank Dallas, described the veteran actor as a friend, brother and veteran that will be greatly missed by both colleagues and the Nollywood community as a whole. Elebuwa, 65, had battled with an undisclosed illness for years before finally giving up the ghost in an India hospital.

The great man played the role of Andrew in a TV commercial in the 80s with his great line "I am checking out! Yes I am, I am checking out". Do we say the godfather has finally checked out? He was described as a "best friend" to friends. He will be missed and remembered by many as an easy going man. To the family and friends, we say may God grant you the heart to bear the irreparable lose.
